The Second Chance Champion

19-Oct-2011

Toowoomba based jockey Amy Taylor has faced some big challenges on the track, but recovering from a double barrel kick that left her with two broken legs has given Amy the chance to take a break from racing and pursue her love of equestrian sports.

Amy is certainly no stranger to injury and recovery.  The Oakey property she shares with her partner is home to a number of injured and retired race horses that she is rehabilitating and retraining for equestrian competition, and the ePro® Equine Professional product range plays a big role in getting these horses looking and feeling fantastic.

Amy first started using ePro® Topline Xtra on her track-turned-hack Thoroughbred Saint Angelo.  When Saint Angelo retired from racing he was 5 years old, riddled with ulcers, very skinny and had two torn tendons.   Having ridden Saint Angelo since he was a 2 year old on the track, Amy had a big soft spot for this horse and when he was retired she asked the trainer if she could have him.

After two years of paddock rest, Saint Angelo began his post-racing career in the show ring and after 12 months showing and being on ePro® Topline Xtra, he has turned into a champion in the Hack ring.  He is now 9 years old and still winning and placing at all shows and royals!  According to Amy ‘He looks so good now, his old trainer didn’t even recognise him’.

The high quality proteins in ePro® Topline Xtra are provide the essential nutrients that the horses body needs to build muscle, improve skin health and coat shine, promote healthy digestive function and support balanced hormone production and it is the ideal supplement for horses that are recovering from an intensive racing career or injury, ‘ I now have all my off-the-track Thoroughbreds on ePro® Topline Xtra and they are doing great!’ raves Amy.

Need to improve your horses top line, muscle, condition and health?  Go to the ePro Online Shop to find ePro® Topline Xtra and the complete, all natural ePro® range.
